“no more than”和“not more than”的区别是？

no more...than含有消极,否定的意味,译为"A与B都不……,不……也不"等。not more...than含有积极,肯定的意味,表示程度上的差异举例比较: He is no more diligent than you. 你不勤奋,他也不勤奋。
(两人都不勤奋) He is not more diligent than you. 他没有你那么勤奋。
(意指两个人都勤奋,但你更勤奋) She is no more a teacher than a worker. 她既不是工人,也不是教师。 She is not more a teacher than a worker. 说她是个教师,倒不如说她是个工人。句型比较：no more…than 是个体都否定的句型，即“甲方不怎么样，乙方比甲方更不怎么样”，如： This book is no more interesting than that one. 这本书和那本书一样无趣。(两本书都没趣)not more… than当用于自身比较时，意为“最多”；当用于同别人或别物相比较时，意为“不比…更”，如： Not more than twenty students are studying in the classroom.教室里最多有二十个学生在学习。
